Adding the GARAN-Label and legal guarantee notice in Shopware 5 & 6
Both Shopware versions are currently in active use side by side. Here's the right native approach for each.
As of 8 July 2026, Shopware offers no official way to add this labelling, but both versions include native building blocks that are sufficient for it. This page is a recommendation based on the current market situation, not legal advice.
Shopware 6: legal guarantee notice
Add it directly in the theme on the product page. It's static, since it's identical for every product, so no per-product management is needed.
Shopware 5: legal guarantee notice
Add it directly in the theme or template of the product detail page, same approach as Shopware 6.
Generating and adding the GARAN-Label
The GARAN-Label differs per product (brand, model, guarantee duration) and must first be generated through our platform before you can add it in Shopware. Start by creating a free account at GARAN-Label.com. Then decide how you want to generate the labels:
Small catalogue
Manual mode: enter brand, model, and guarantee duration, then download the label right away.
Large catalogue
CSV mode: you get a result file with brand, model, and the respective label URL.
Then save the generated label per product: in Shopware 6, in a custom field of type media; in Shopware 5, in a free-text field or property. The CSV result file also combines well with Shopware's own product import/export (Shopware 6: Import/Export module; Shopware 5: product import plugin).
Important: output the label in the storefront template specifically in the information area of the product page, for example below the product description. It must not appear as an additional product image in the regular image gallery.
Alternative: let an agency implement it

Frequently asked questions about Shopware
Does this also work with custom-coded Shopware themes?
Generally yes. On heavily customised themes, the exact place to implement it in the template may differ, so it makes sense to check with the agency or developer team maintaining it.
What is the difference between a free-text field (Shopware 5) and a custom field (Shopware 6)?
Both serve the same purpose: an additional, freely usable field per product where you can store the GARAN-Label. Only the name and the exact admin interface differ between the two Shopware versions.
Can I just add the GARAN-Label to the regular product images?
No. The GARAN-Label is product-specific additional information, not a product photo. Output it in the information area of the product page in the storefront template, not in the regular image gallery.
Does the GARAN-Label need to be stored separately for every variant of a product?
Yes, if brand, model, or guarantee duration differ between variants. If all details are identical across every variant, a single label at the product level is enough.
